Behind The Blooms: A Young Stylist in the Making

Some of the most meaningful moments in a creative business don't happen at weddings, events or photoshoots. They happen quietly behind the scenes, long before guests arrive and before a single photo is taken.

These images were captured at home while my daughter was helping me prepare silk florals for an upcoming event. Surrounded by flowers, colours and creativity, she spent the afternoon arranging stems, adjusting blooms and learning the patience and attention to detail that goes into every design.

As an event stylist and floral designer, much of my work happens away from the spotlight. While clients often see the finished installation, there are countless hours spent planning, designing, preparing and creating beforehand. This particular day was made even more special because I had a little helper by my side.

Watching her carefully place flowers and become absorbed in the creative process reminded me why I love what I do. Creativity has a beautiful way of bringing people together. It encourages imagination, problem solving and confidence, while creating opportunities to connect and share meaningful moments.

One of the greatest gifts of running my own business is being able to involve my children in the journey. Whether they are helping organise supplies, unpacking florals, sorting décor or simply spending time in the studio while I work, they become part of the story behind every event.

These moments may seem small at the time, but looking back, they become some of the memories I treasure most. The flowers eventually find their place at an event, the installations are packed away and the celebrations come to an end, but the time spent creating together remains.

At TwinSoul Creative, every design begins with passion, creativity and countless hours behind the scenes. Sometimes, it also begins with a curious young helper who simply wants to learn and be part of the process.

Because behind every beautiful event, there is a story. And sometimes, the most beautiful stories happen at home.
